TRCC endeavours to offer some travel assistance for teachers travelling within New Zealand to attend TRCC courses, the amount of travel assistance available for each given course is set by the Committee.
TRCC offers travel subsidy for teachers taking the opportunity of an early bird registration up to a maximum of the first 20 teachers enrolled.
Priority is given to small schools (U4 and below), rural schools, Kura Kaupapa, Bilingual / Full immersion, Kohanga, Aoga amata, State / community ECE.
Participants are to book their own travel (including travel insurance protection) and if eligible seek reimbursement from TRCC by submitting a travel claim with attached receipts.
Airfares are reimbursed as follows:
Zone 1 – up to $200 return airfare – main centre to main centre (Auck, Wgtn, Chch).
Zone 2 – up to $300 return airfare -regional airports – main to a regional.
Zone 3 – up to $400 return airfare – requires two flights one way eg Invercargill to Dunedin to Chch.
Land travel
Mileage paid @ 62cents per km (return journeys less than 80km ineligible.)
Return journeys 80-200km up to a maximum reimbursement of $80 or public transport cost whichever is the lesser.
Return journeys over 200km reimbursed to a maximum of $120.
